We’ve each built and run successful solo and group practices in Victoria, Queensland and South Australia so we know firsthand how much smoother things run when you’ve got the right people behind you.
That’s why we created Virtual Hero to take the stress out of hiring and managing admin, and to give other psychology practice owners the freedom to focus on what they do best.

Karen is all about people and possibility. A strategist at heart and a connector by nature, she sees the best in others, then helps them see it too. Her gift lies in thinking big, spotting what’s possible before others can, and finding solutions that others might miss.
Background
Her journey’s been anything but ordinary: from marketing to teaching, to psychology and leadership, with a few wild turns along the way. She’s taught English in the Amazon, trained dressage horses in Germany, and built a thriving psychology practice in Australia. Now a Board Approved Supervisor and business owner, Karen’s built a career, and a life, around curiosity, courage, and challenging what “normal” looks like in business and beyond.

Karen’s superpower lies in understanding people; seeing who they are, what drives them, and how to help them reach their best. She leads with empathy, vision, and the kind of optimism that brings out greatness in others.

Gorica leads the strategic and operational heartbeat of Virtual Hero. She’s the systems queen; organised, tech-savvy, and relentlessly efficient, ensuring every process runs seamlessly from behind the scenes. Her focus is on designing smarter ways of working: the intersection of clarity, structure, and human connection.
Background
A registered psychologist for almost two decades and founder of Mindspace Psychology, Gorica has worked across multiple systems, including schools, not-for-profit organisations, and GP practices, before building her own solo practice, which she has since grown into a thriving group of 14 psychologists.
Having experienced firsthand the pressures of managing both client care and business operations, Gorica knows the power of great systems and even greater people.
Superpower
Gorica’s superpower lies in her speed! Not just in thinking, but in execution. She processes complex problems in record time, transforming ideas into action with precision and creativity. Known for her innovative, forward-thinking approach, she’s the ultimate problem solver, staying on point in a world that’s forever changing.

A proud working mum of three energetic boys, Gorica is a lifelong soccer mum who thrives on travel, adventure, and all things food. She believes freedom is built through structure, and that when people feel supported by systems that work, they can truly shine.

Melissa is the Innovator behind Virtual Hero, a creative strategist who turns big ideas into streamlined systems that actually work. She thrives on solving complex problems, finding smarter ways to do things, and bringing clarity and structure to even the most chaotic challenges.
Background
With over 15 years’ experience as a psychologist and business owner, Melissa has built and led teams and worked closely with practice owners across Australia. Through mentoring and training others in private practice, she’s gained a deep understanding of the real challenges business owners face; from staffing and systems to sustainability and growth.

Melissa is known for her savvy, forward-thinking mindset and her ability to turn ideas into action. Her superpower lies in creativity and innovation; constantly finding new, smarter ways to approach challenges and make things work better. She’s driven by possibility, always looking for what’s next, what’s missing, and how to bring it to life.

Melissa is a mum who loves wine, strong coffee, travel with her family, and a good new project (preferably all together).
